Do you ever wonder if you are as influential as you could be?

Every leader has to face high-stakes influence conversations on a daily basis. Unfortunately, many leaders rush into meetings using their default communication/influence style without knowing that there are multiple approaches and that some are more effective in different situations. Other leaders don’t spend enough time planning ahead for these conversations and make impulsive, emotional decisions that keep them from achieving their goals.

This workshop gives you a clear methodology to clarify your goals, plan an approach, prepare for objections and rehearse; maximising your probability for conversational success.

In the construction industry we read and hear about designing for resilient cities or how to incorporate resilience as a design objective.  I'd like to bring this back to a personal level so that resilience is first understood in terms of the individual.

My work with coaching clients has an underlying thread of increasing resilience and it makes a huge difference to how we recover, move forward and how quickly. There will always be challenges that knock us in our career - such as promotion, redundancy, illness, new job or stretching out of our comfort zone.

Knowing where your resilience strengths and weakness lie, is important in an industry where the retention of women in senior roles is especially significant.

BENEFITS

  • Be better equipped to handle challenges in the future

  • Understand why some past career challenges were more difficult than others

  • Identify your naturally high and low areas of resilience

  • Understand how to help colleagues in challenging times

  • As an office have insight into how to support staff wellbeing

Your values are the things that you believe are important in the way you live and work. They (should) determine your priorities, and, deep down, they're probably the measures you use to tell if your life is turning out the way you want it to.

This workshop is adaptable and is suitable for looking at and defining both individual and company level values. It is a a good follow-up workshop to the Resilience Workshop which introduces values as a key capability in maintaining your resilience through life's difficult periods.

When you consider your values in decision-making, you can be sure to keep your sense of integrity and what you know is right and approach decisions with confidence and clarity. When the things that you do and the way you behave match your values, life is usually good – you're satisfied and content. But when decisions or behaviours don't align with your personal values, that's when things feel... wrong. This can be a real source of unhappiness. This is why making a conscious effort to identify your values is so important.

BENEFITS

  • Understand what values are and how they help you

  • Define the real meaning behind your values and look at how that translates into concrete behaviour

  • Approach decision making with more confidence and clarity

  • For a company, attract and keep staff that align with your values

OUTLINE

  • Identify your values

  • Understand the different types of values

  • Find the meaning and behaviour behind your values

  • Introduce your values into written and verbal behaviour or

  • Identify the (perceived or real) company values and discuss what they mean (optional)
